I dag är han ett stort namn inom musikpedagogik och reser världen runt som dirigent och ambassadör för El Sistema. 2017 nominerades han till det prestigefyllda Global Teacher Prize. Ron är initiativtagare till Dream Orchestra och är konstnärlig rådgivare för Side by Side. 2020 tilldelades han Göran Lagervalls pedagogstipendium av Kungliga Musikaliska Akademien.

Opportunities to build meaningful connections with youth El Sistema-inspired musicians from across Massachusetts. Performance experience in celebrated concert venues, including Harvard’s Sanders Theatre and the Fisher Center of Bard College.

Approaching Gothenburg´s 400th anniversary Side by Side by El Sistema aims to become the worlds largest youth Sistema Side-by-Side Longy’s Sistema Side-by-Side Program was inspired by the Venezuelan social movement, El Sistema, which addresses issues of social justice through accessible musical training. This year-long initiative pairs children ages 6-18 from El Sistema-inspired music education sites across Massachusetts with Longy conservatory students for rehearsals and extraordinary performances.
